Gurdwara Bhajangarh Sahib is constructed in the memory of Sri Maan 111 Sant Baba Atar Singh Ji Mastuane Wale. After leaving the army Sant Baba Atar Singh Ji came walking from Dehradun to seek darshan at Nanded. As a result of this Jathedar Bhai Nanu Singh Ji gave the Bunga (building) in front of Darbar Sahib to Baba Atar Singh Ji for Naam Simran. This Bunga was constructed by Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjeet Singh specially for the purpose of Bhajan Bandagi (praying).

Situated on the banks of the river Godavari, Sant Ji meditated here for one third of the day continuously from 1889-1890. In this duration Sant Ji completed 1 lakh 25 thousand Jap Ji Sahib and for straight 7 days & nights chanted the name of the Almighty standing in the river Godavari.  As a result Guru Gobind Singh Ji came to meet Sant Ji and ordered go to Punjab to spread Sikhism.

After Sant Ji left for his heavenly adobe a Gurdwara was constructed on the place where he meditated and the sewa was undertaken by the then Jathedar of Hazur Sahib Sri Maan 108 Sant Baba Joginder Singh Ji Moni for almost 40 years.
