Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Pehli (1) and Dasvi (10) is situated in the Village Bilaspur (Kapal Mochan) in Yamunagar District. It is 17 kms from Jagadhari Town. Guru Nanak Dev Ji reached this place from Haridwar via Saharanpur in the year 1584 Bikrami on Katakk’s full moon while blessing the people. During Guru Sahib’s journey, a merchant offered food to all the saints. Whilst sitting in this gathering, one should offer prayers to the One Almighty and seek the advice and bessings of the Guru or the Teacher. It is only then that one could attain salvation. On hearing the Guru’s preachings, a large number of sadhus, saints, yogi’s etc. came to meet him and asked him for the signs that identify such persons. Guru Sahib then recited the Ratanmala for their benefit. When everyone sat in queues, a child was born at the merchant’s house due to which the saints stopped eating food due to Sootak (a period of 13 to 40 days after childbirth). Guru Nanak Dev Ji then said:

Shalok, First Mehl:
If one accepts the concept of impurity, then there is impurity everywhere.
In cow-dung and wood there are worms.
As many as are the grains of corn, none is without life.
First, there is life in the water, by which everything else is made green.

How can it be protected from impurity? It touches our own kitchen.
O Nanak, impurity cannot be removed in this way; it is washed away only by spiritual wisdom. ||1||

Listening to this shabad, the Saints & the Pandits fell on Guru Ji's feet & became His Sikhs.

In the year 1746, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, after winning the battle of Bhangani, came to this place & rested here for 52 days. The people, who showed disrespect to the Sarovars (Holy Ponds) had their turbans taken and torn off and then offered as robe of honor (Siropao) to the brave warrior Singhs by the order (hukam) of Guru Sahib. At this place, Guru Gobind Singh Ji also gave a Hukamnama to the Pandits which is preserved till date. During his stay here, Guru Gobind Singh Ji celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and thus revived the memory of the First Guru’s visit to Kapal Mochan. He exhorted the Sikhs to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with great splendor every year at this place.
The Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on Katakk's full moon is celebrated with great joy & enthusiasm. Devotees from far and near visit the holy place and bathe in the sarovar fulfilling their wishes.
