There are about 5000 Sikhs settled in Norway with most of them living in Oslo.
Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is a Sikh Gurdwara located at Alnabru in Oslo, Norway. In this Gurudwara Sikhs from Oslo and the neighbouring areas come daily. The Gurdwara mainly consists of three large halls. Of those, two are Langar halls.
The first Sikhs came to Norway in the early 1970's. There are about 2500 registered Sikhs in Norway today, most live in Oslo and Drammen. Gurdwara Alnabru was opened in 1983 and became the first Sikh temple in Norway. Later in 2000, another Gurdwara opened in Lier near Drammen. The meeting venue is the Sikh religious community Gurduara Sri Guru Nanak Niwas and, together with Gurdwara in Oslo, the only Sikh temples in Norway.
