Gurdwara Pathar Pith Sahib is located on the Leh-Srinagar highway. This Gurdwara commemorates Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's visit to Leh. Guru Ji's popularity among the locals increased as this angered the demon who resided on the hill-top. One day, as Guru Ji was meditating, the demon rolled down a boulder towards Guru Ji with the intention of killing Guru Ji. As the boulder reached near Guru Nanak Dev Ji, it became as soft as wax making an outline of Guru Ji's body on it. Thinking that the boulder might have rolled over Guru Ji, the demon came to inspect. To his surprise, Guru Ji did not even move an inch and no damage was done. His anger rose and he kicked the boulder and his foot was imprinted onto the boulder as well (it can be seen on the left side of the stone). Upon seeing this, his ego shattered and he too became Guru Ji's Sikh. Currently the Sikh Regiment is taking care of this site.
